Membership sites often sell access to files: reports, templates, software, images or other media. Download Monitor handles the files and Paid Memberships Pro handles the members, but on their own they do not know about each other. This add-on joins the two, so you can decide which membership levels are allowed to download each file and keep the rest of your visitors out.
Setup happens inside your WordPress dashboard. You link downloads to membership levels through the plugin settings, and from then on access follows each user's membership. Because Download Monitor keeps track of downloads, you can see who is accessing files and when.
