What’s new in PMPro - Email Confirmation 1.0.2
Version 1.0.2 · Oct 7, 2026
Latest
- FixedFixed an issue where email confirmation links could fail to validate if another plugin filters random_password.
What it does
Membership sites that accept open registrations tend to collect fake and spam accounts. These sign-ups clutter your member list, make moderation harder and leave you unsure which members are real people with working email addresses. This add-on tackles that by asking every new member to prove they own the email address they registered with. Until they confirm, they do not get full access to the membership, so throwaway or mistyped addresses never turn into active accounts.
The add-on works inside Paid Memberships Pro and fits alongside your existing membership settings and sign-up flow. When a user registers, a confirmation email goes out automatically with a link to verify their address. You can customize that message so it matches your brand and reads like the rest of your site's communication. Setup is kept simple, with options that site owners of any skill level can configure, and the result is a cleaner, more authentic member database.

Questions about PMPro - Email Confirmation
Do I need Paid Memberships Pro to use this?
Yes. This is an add-on built for Paid Memberships Pro, and it adds an email verification step to that plugin's registration process. It works with your existing membership settings rather than as a standalone tool.
What happens if a new member does not confirm their email?
New members are required to verify their email address before they gain full access. Until they click the confirmation link, their membership is not fully active, which keeps unverified and fake accounts from using your member content.
Can I change the wording of the confirmation email?
Yes. The confirmation message is customizable, so you can tailor it to match your brand and keep it consistent with the other emails your membership site sends to members.
Will this help reduce spam accounts on my membership site?
It is designed to. Because every registration must be confirmed through a real email inbox, spam and malicious sign-ups are stopped early, which cuts down on the moderation and cleanup work those accounts create.
Is PMPro - Email Confirmation free?
The code of PMPro - Email Confirmation is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of PMPro - Email Confirmation is this?
Version 1.0.2, released Oct 7, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update PMPro - Email Confirmation?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of PMPro - Email Confirmation automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
