What it does
Running memberships on a multisite network can get messy when every subsite has its own levels, members and billing. This add on connects them. A network administrator picks a source site, and that site's membership data applies across the network. A member who joins on one site can then reach restricted content on other subsites with the same membership, so they keep a single account rather than juggling separate logins.
The add on works alongside the core Paid Memberships Pro plugin. Subsite administrators can choose whether their subsite follows the main site's Advanced Settings or uses custom settings, but only network administrators can change the network-wide source site. Scheduled tasks such as membership expirations and reminder emails run once from the main site for the whole network, which avoids duplicate processing on subsites. Developers can extend the behavior through hooks and filters.

Do members need a separate account for each subsite?
No. Members sign up once and their membership gives access to content across multiple subsites in the network. Membership data comes from a source site chosen by the network administrator, so one account covers the sites you connect.
