What it does
Most membership sites only sell access to the person paying. That leaves out a common request: someone who wants to buy a membership for a friend, family member or colleague. This add on fills that gap by creating gift membership levels that users can purchase and pass along. It suits birthdays and holidays, incentives and promotional campaigns, and it gives existing members a simple way to bring new people into your community.
The gifting flow runs through the standard Paid Memberships Pro checkout, so purchasers use a process they already know. You can customize gift messages, expiration dates and recipient notifications. When a recipient accepts a gift, account setup and membership activation happen automatically. Gifting works with all of your membership levels, so you can offer it across different tiers. Admins can view, manage and track gifted memberships from the WordPress dashboard, and the screens work on desktop, tablet and mobile.
