What’s new in PMPro - Magic Login 1.0.2
- FixedThe "Email Me a Login Link" button is now rendered inside login forms built with wp_login_form(), such as the PMPro login page and login widget. The button previously printed above the form and discarded content other plugins added to the login_form_middle filter.
What it does
Passwords are a common source of friction on membership sites. Members forget them, reset them, reuse weak ones and sometimes give up on logging in at all. This add-on gives them another route. Instead of typing a password, a member asks for a login link, which arrives in their inbox. Clicking that link signs them in. Each link works once and expires after a set time, so it can't be reused later by someone who finds the email.
The add-on places an "Email Me a Login Link" button inside login forms built with the standard WordPress login form function, including the Paid Memberships Pro login page and login widget. You can adjust the content and design of the login email to match your site, and choose how long links stay valid. It handles login requests for every membership level you run, which makes it a good fit for course sites, subscription services and members-only content.
Best for
- Membership sites running Paid Memberships Pro
- E-learning platforms with members who forget passwords
- Subscription and exclusive content sites
Features
Members receive a secure login URL by email that works a single time, so they can access their account without entering or remembering a password.
Set how long each login link remains valid, letting you choose your own balance between member convenience and protection against unauthorized access.
Edit the content and design of the login email so the message matches your site's voice and looks consistent with your other member communications.
An "Email Me a Login Link" button appears within login forms built with wp_login_form(), such as the Paid Memberships Pro login page and login widget.
Login requests are handled for every membership tier on your site, so you don't need separate setup for each level you offer.
Because members sign in through time-limited links, you avoid problems that come with weak or reused passwords.
The one-click links can be opened from email on phones, tablets or desktops, so members can sign in wherever they read their mail.
