PMPro - Multiple Memberships per User
This plugin is an add-on for Paid Memberships Pro that lets a single user hold more than one membership level at the same time. Instead of forcing members to pick one tier, you can offer separate levels for different content or perks and let people combine them.

What’s new in PMPro - Multiple Memberships per User 0.8.5
- SecurityLevel group add, edit, delete, and reorder actions now require the proper capability and a nonce.
- SecuritySanitized level group names on save and escaped output throughout the admin, profile, checkout, confirmation, and levels templates.
- SecurityHardened SQL queries by casting IDs and escaping status values, and added direct file access protection.
What it does
Standard Paid Memberships Pro setups assign each user one membership level. That works for simple sites, but it gets awkward when you sell distinct offerings, such as separate courses, a coaching tier and a content library, that people may want to buy together. This add-on removes that limit so a member can hold several levels at once, and each level keeps its own access rules. It suits educational platforms, fitness communities and content sites that sell more than one kind of access.
The plugin works inside your existing Paid Memberships Pro setup and alongside other Paid Memberships Pro add-ons. Levels can be organized into level groups, which you can add, edit, delete and reorder from the admin. Content is granted or restricted automatically based on each membership a user holds, and administrators can view and manage every level assigned to a given member. Membership details and messages shown to users reflect their combined memberships, and the levels, checkout, confirmation and profile screens account for multiple levels.
Best for
- Paid Memberships Pro sites selling several distinct offerings
- Online course and education platforms with separate programs
- Fitness or content communities with add-on access tiers
Features
Members can hold several membership levels at the same time, so they can add tiers or separate offerings without giving up the access they already have.
Organize membership levels into groups that administrators can add, edit, delete and reorder, giving structure to how levels relate to each other.
Content is granted or restricted automatically according to each individual membership a user holds, so permissions stay accurate without manual changes.
Backend tools let administrators see and manage all of the memberships assigned to an individual user from one place.
Show members custom membership information and access details based on the full set of levels they hold.
Adjust messages, notifications and prompts to match the combination of memberships each user has.
Runs within Paid Memberships Pro and alongside its other add-ons, so it fits into a site that already uses that membership system.

Questions about PMPro - Multiple Memberships per User
Do I need Paid Memberships Pro for this to work?
Yes. This is an add-on built for Paid Memberships Pro and runs inside an existing Paid Memberships Pro setup. It extends that system so users can hold more than one membership level instead of a single one.
How is content access decided when someone has several levels?
Access is controlled per membership. The plugin automatically grants or restricts content based on each individual level a user holds, so a member sees everything that any of their levels allows without you adjusting permissions by hand.
Can I organize my membership levels into groups?
Yes. The plugin supports level groups, and administrators can add, edit, delete and reorder them. Groups help you structure how your levels are presented and related across the levels, checkout and profile screens.
Can I see all of a member's levels from the admin?
Yes. The backend tools let administrators view and manage every membership assigned to an individual user, which makes it simpler to check or adjust what a particular member has access to.
