What’s new in Profile Builder bbPress 1.0.5

What it does
Out of the box, bbPress has its own user profiles, edit pages and forms, which sit apart from the profiles you build elsewhere on a WordPress site. That split means members may see different forms and different profile data depending on where they are. This add-on closes that gap by keeping bbPress user profiles in sync with Profile Builder profiles and sending forum profile links to the Profile Builder versions, so each member has one profile that carries their custom fields and avatar.
The integration works without editing bbPress templates or writing code. You swap the bbPress registration and login shortcodes for Profile Builder forms, and the default bbPress Edit User page is replaced with a Profile Builder Edit Profile form containing the fields you choose. Avatars added through Profile Builder appear inside the forums, and the User Listing module can display your forum members. It suits community forums and membership sites already running Profile Builder alongside bbPress.
Best for
- Community forums built with bbPress
- Membership sites using Profile Builder for user accounts
- Site owners wanting custom profile fields for forum members

Questions about Profile Builder bbPress
Do I need Profile Builder for this add-on to work?

Will I have to edit bbPress templates or write code?
No. The add-on is designed to work without modifying bbPress templates or code. Registration and login are handled by swapping bbPress shortcodes for Profile Builder ones, and profile links redirect automatically.
