Save Form Progress
JetFormBuilder Save Form Progress is an addon plugin by Crocoblock for the JetFormBuilder form plugin. It keeps what a visitor has typed into a form, so a page refresh, browser crash or a break halfway through does not wipe out their entries.

What it does
Long forms take time, and losing everything to an accidental refresh or a closed tab is a common reason people give up. This addon stores form values in the browser's Local Storage, tied to each specific form ID. When the visitor comes back, their answers, completed steps, uploaded files and calculated values are still there. It fits job applications, event registrations, support requests and any other form that asks for more than a few fields.
The addon works for logged-in users and guests alike, since the data lives in the visitor's own browser. It also remembers the state of conditional logic, so fields that appeared because of earlier answers stay visible. Setup happens through a toggle in the JetFormBuilder dashboard, and it is meant to work with any WordPress theme. It requires JetFormBuilder to be active on your site.
Best for
- Sites with long job application or registration forms
- JetFormBuilder users building multi-step forms
- Support desks collecting detailed requests with file uploads
Features
Form inputs are saved as the visitor fills them in, so an interrupted session can be picked up again without retyping earlier answers.
Values are stored in the visitor's browser using Local Storage and linked to each form ID, keeping data for different forms separate.
Progress saving works for both registered users and anonymous visitors, so you do not need to require accounts to protect form entries.
For multi-step forms, the addon keeps track of completed steps and preserves the visible progress bar when the visitor returns.
Media files attached to the form are kept through interruptions, so visitors do not have to upload the same files a second time.
Calculation results based on user input are saved and updated, keeping dynamic fields accurate after a page reload or a pause.
The state of triggered conditions is remembered, so fields shown or hidden based on earlier answers behave the same when the form reloads.
Works with select and address autocomplete addons, keeping the data entered in those fields along with the rest of the form.

Questions about Save Form Progress
Where is the saved form data kept?
The addon stores form values in the visitor's browser using Local Storage, tied to the ID of the specific form. Progress is therefore saved on that browser, so a visitor returning on the same browser will see their earlier entries restored.
Do visitors need an account for their progress to be saved?
No. Saving works for both logged-in users and guests. Because the data sits in the browser rather than a user profile, anonymous visitors get the same protection against losing their entries.
Will uploaded files and calculated fields survive a page refresh?
Yes. The addon keeps attached media files so they do not need to be uploaded again, and it saves calculated field results, updating them based on the restored input so the values stay accurate.
Does it require any other plugin?
Yes, it is an addon for JetFormBuilder, which must be active on your site. Once both are in place, you turn on progress saving with a toggle in the JetFormBuilder dashboard.
Is Save Form Progress free?
The code of Save Form Progress is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Save Form Progress is this?
Version 1.0.12, released Sep 17, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Save Form Progress?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Save Form Progress automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
