- FixedThe Featured Slider box listed your module folders as if they were modules. It lists modules only now
- FixedThe Featured Slider box never showed the picture of the chosen module. It shows it now
What it does
A standard featured image shows one picture and nothing else. This add-on replaces it with a slider made in Slider Revolution, so a post preview can carry multiple images, captions and links. If you already build sliders for your site, you can reuse that work on your blog and article pages instead of settling for a static thumbnail.
Each post has a Featured Slider box in the editor. A Modules button opens the module browser, where you can search, open your folders and pick a module by its picture. The chosen module's picture then appears in the box. The add-on needs the Slider Revolution plugin, and it works with themes that support Slider Revolution.
Best for
- Bloggers who want richer post previews
- Sites already built with Slider Revolution 7
- Marketers promoting articles with captions and links
Features
Slider instead of featured image
Replace the single static featured image on a post with an animated slider, so the post preview can present more than one visual.
Multiple images, captions and links
Slider content can include several images, captions and links within the featured area, which gives you room to tell more of the story and point to key messages.
Featured Slider box on posts
Each post has a Featured Slider box where you choose which slider module to use, so the setting sits right alongside your content.
Module browser with search
A Modules button opens the module browser. You can search, open your folders and pick a module by its picture instead of guessing from names.
Picture of the chosen module
Once you pick a module, the Featured Slider box shows its picture, so you can confirm at a glance that the right slider is attached.
Folders kept separate from modules
The box lists modules only, not your folders, so the choices you see are sliders you can actually select.
Responsive sliders
Sliders are described as mobile-friendly and adapt to different screen sizes, including smartphones and tablets.
Built for Slider Revolution 7
The add-on is designed for Slider Revolution 7 by ThemePunch and requires the Slider Revolution plugin to be in place on your site.
