What it does
A store homepage built on Storefront starts out fairly plain, and adding a large banner area at the top usually means custom code or a page builder. This plugin gives Storefront a dedicated hero component instead. You write a title and body text, add an optional call-to-action button, and pick a background made from a solid color, an image or a video. The background can scroll with a parallax effect, which gives the top of the page a layered sense of depth as visitors move down.
Every setting lives in its own top-level section of the WordPress Customizer, so you can preview changes as you make them without touching theme files. You can choose a full-width or fixed-width layout and have the hero fill the full browser height when the page loads. For other parts of the site, the parallax_hero shortcode lets you place more hero sections on category pages, blog posts and single product pages, which helps keep the look consistent across the store.
