What it does
Many sites collect new users through a registration form and then copy those people into an email tool by hand. That takes time and the two lists drift apart. This add-on closes the gap by sending registration data straight to Mailchimp. New users can be added to a list automatically, or they can tick an opt-in box to choose for themselves. You can also turn on Mailchimp's Double Opt-In, which sends a confirmation email so people verify that they want to hear from you.
The plugin works inside User Registration, so you build and customize your forms there as usual and then connect each form to Mailchimp. Every form can point to its own Mailchimp list or group, which helps you sort subscribers by where they signed up. Form fields map to matching Mailchimp list fields, so subscriber profiles carry the information people entered.
