What it does
Running a video site on a general-purpose theme often means bolting on extra plugins just to organize clips and display them in a tidy layout. This theme puts those video features into the theme itself. You get a dedicated post type for videos, which keeps them separate from regular blog posts, plus grid galleries that arrange your content in a clean, browsable layout that adapts to phones and desktops.
Embeds work with YouTube, Vimeo and self-hosted files, so you can mix sources on one site. Colors, typography and layouts are adjusted through the WordPress Customizer without editing code, and the header includes search on mobile so visitors can find videos on small screens. The theme is described as compatible with WooCommerce and Contact Form 7 if you want to add a shop or contact forms later.
Best for
- Vloggers and video creators building their own site
- Movie and film websites with large video libraries
- Educators publishing tutorial and lesson videos

Embeds from several sources

Built-in video features
The core video tools come with the theme, so you can run a video site without adding separate third-party plugins for basic display.

Works with common plugins
The theme is described as compatible with WooCommerce and Contact Form 7, so you can add a store or contact forms later on.
Questions about YouVideo Pro
Can I use videos from YouTube and Vimeo with this theme?
Yes. The theme supports embeds from YouTube and Vimeo, and it also handles self-hosted videos. You can mix these sources across your site, so older uploads on one platform and new files on your own server can sit side by side.
Do I need extra plugins to run a video site with YouVideo Pro?
The main video features, including the custom video post type, grid galleries and embed options, are built into the theme. That means you can set up a working video site without third-party plugins for these basics, and add others later if you need them.
Can I change the look without coding?
Yes. Colors, typography and layouts can be adjusted through the WordPress Customizer. This lets you match the site to your brand using the standard WordPress settings screen instead of editing theme files.
Will it work on phones and tablets?
The grid galleries are responsive and adapt to different screen sizes, so videos display properly on mobile devices and desktops. The header also includes a search option on mobile to help visitors find content on smaller screens.
Is YouVideo Pro free?
The code of YouVideo Pro is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of YouVideo Pro is this?
Version 1.0.1, released Feb 20, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update YouVideo Pro?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of YouVideo Pro automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
