What it does
Sites that accept guest posts, event submissions or directory listings often end up copying entries from a form into the editor by hand. This add-on removes that step. You build a form in Gravity Forms, then set up a feed that tells the add-on which post type to create, how to fill the title and content, and where each piece of submitted data should go. When someone submits the form, the post is created from their answers.
Setup happens inside the Gravity Forms interface, so you can configure post creation rules without writing code. Merge tags pull form field values into post titles and content, custom field mapping stores extra data as post meta, and categories, tags or custom taxonomies can be assigned automatically. Uploaded files go to the Media Library and are linked to the new post. Conditional logic lets you decide which submissions create posts, which keeps you in control of what goes live.
Best for
- Blogs and magazines accepting guest post submissions
- Community sites publishing events or user listings
- Directory sites built on custom post types
Features
Create standard posts, pages or any custom post type registered on your WordPress site, so submissions fit the content structure you already use.
Assign categories, tags or custom taxonomies to each new post as it is created, keeping user-submitted content organized and easy to browse.
Use merge tags to fill post titles and body content with values from any form field, building flexible templates for each kind of submission.
Map form data to existing or new custom fields so extra details like dates, locations or contact information are stored as post metadata.
Files submitted through the form are added to the WordPress Media Library and attached to the post that the submission creates.
Apply Gravity Forms conditional logic to feeds so only submissions that meet your rules generate posts, giving you control over publishing.
Display created posts on your site with the APC Post List block, which includes pagination for browsing longer lists of entries.
Set up and adjust post creation rules through feeds inside Gravity Forms, with no custom coding needed for typical publishing workflows.

Questions about Advanced Post Creation
Does this work without Gravity Forms?
No. Advanced Post Creation is an add-on for Gravity Forms, so it runs on forms built with that plugin. You create the form in Gravity Forms and then configure a feed that turns its submissions into posts.
Can submissions create custom post types instead of regular posts?
Yes. The add-on can create posts, pages or any custom post type registered on your site. That makes it a fit for directories, event listings or other specialized content structures you already have set up.
Can I stop every submission from going live automatically?
You can use Gravity Forms conditional logic on the feed to control when a submission creates a post. Only entries that meet the conditions you define will generate content, so you decide which submissions are published.
What happens to images and files people upload?
Files uploaded through the form are added to the WordPress Media Library and linked to the post created from that submission, so you do not need to upload or attach them yourself.
Is Advanced Post Creation free?
The code of Advanced Post Creation is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Advanced Post Creation is this?
Version 1.6.2, released Aug 14, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Advanced Post Creation?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Advanced Post Creation automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
