Conditional Logic
Conditional Logic is an add-on plugin for FacetWP, made by FacetWP LLC. It lets you show or hide facets and other page elements based on rules you define, so your search and filter forms only display the options that make sense for what a visitor has already chosen.

What it does
Filter forms tend to grow crowded as a site adds more facets. A visitor browsing one category may see filters that only apply to another, which makes the form harder to read and use. This add-on addresses that by letting you attach visibility rules to facets, so filters appear or disappear depending on the selections a visitor makes, the state of the page, or other criteria you set.
You build rulesets that combine one or more conditions with actions. Actions can target facets or any page element through custom selectors, and a special empty selector lets you handle facets that return no results. It works with FacetWP's core and add-on facet types and can be used on pages built with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Breakdance and others. Developers can also adjust its behavior through hooks and filters.
Best for
- Sites using FacetWP with many filters
- Online stores and directories with category-specific filters
- Developers building custom filtered search pages
Features
Set rules that toggle facets on or off, so visitors see filters that relate to their current choices instead of the full list every time.
Combine several conditions in a single ruleset to control exactly when a facet appears, which supports more involved filtering scenarios.
Point actions at specific facets or other page elements using custom selectors, giving you control over what shows and when without extra development work.
Use the $EMPTY selector option to control the visibility of facets that have no results, so visitors are not shown filters that lead nowhere.
Built to run alongside FacetWP's core facet types and its add-on facet types, keeping behavior consistent across your filters.
Apply conditional rules on search pages designed with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Breakdance and other page builders.
Hooks and filters let developers customize or extend how the conditional logic behaves to fit a specific project.

Questions about Conditional Logic
Does this work without FacetWP?
No. Conditional Logic is an add-on for the FacetWP plugin, and its rules act on FacetWP facets. You need FacetWP running on your site to use it, and it works with both FacetWP's core facet types and its add-on facet types.
Can I hide things other than facets?
Yes. Actions can target other page elements through custom selectors, so you can show or hide parts of the page based on the same conditions you use for facets, such as a visitor's selections or the page state.
Can I use it on pages built with Elementor or Bricks?
Yes. The add-on is compatible with popular page builders, including Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks and Breakdance, so you can add conditional facet visibility to search pages designed in those tools.
What happens to facets that return no results?
You can use the empty selector option, written as $EMPTY, to target facets with no results and control whether they show. This helps keep the filter form clear when certain choices leave a facet empty.
Is Conditional Logic free?
The code of Conditional Logic is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Conditional Logic is this?
Version 1.5.1, released Mar 23, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Conditional Logic?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Conditional Logic automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
