A standard directory handles places well, but events have dates, times and schedules that repeat. This add-on extends GeoDirectory with an events post type that carries event-specific fields and sorting. Organizers can enter an event once and set it to recur daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or on a custom pattern, and the plugin fills in the individual occurrences. That covers anything from a single gathering to a weekly workshop or an annual festival.

On the visitor side, events can be filtered by date ranges such as today, tomorrow, this weekend or next month, and shown on a monthly calendar that marks days with scheduled events. It also works with other GeoDirectory add-ons. With the Custom Post Types addon you can turn other post types into event listings and link events to a venues post type. Advanced Search adds date fields to the search bar, and Pricing Manager lets you limit features like recurring events to certain packages.
