What’s new in GeoDirectory Events Tickets Marketplace 2.2.0

Version 2.2.0 · Sep 17, 2026 Latest
  • ImprovedTicket stock is now managed per date for recurring events
  • NewUsers can now set custom pricing and stock per date for recurring events

What it does

Many event directories list events but send visitors to outside ticketing services to buy. This extension keeps ticket sales on your own site. It works with GeoDirectory, so the events already listed in your directory can carry tickets that buyers purchase directly. Multiple event owners can list and sell tickets through the same directory, which gives you a branded ticket marketplace instead of a simple listings site. Administrators set commission rates and collect a share of every ticket sold.

After purchase, buyers get printable tickets with unique QR codes. On the day, event owners scan and redeem those tickets at the door, so each ticket can only be used once and entry stays under control. Recurring events are handled per date, with separate pricing and stock for each date. Both event owners and site administrators can see sales reports and analytics, which makes it easier to track how tickets are selling across the marketplace.

Best for

  • GeoDirectory event directories adding ticket sales
  • Site owners running a commission-based ticket marketplace
  • Event organizers who want QR code check-in

Features

Direct ticket sales

Event tickets are created and sold directly on your WordPress site, so buyers complete their purchase without leaving your directory for an outside ticketing service.

Multi-organizer marketplace

Multiple event owners can list their events and sell tickets through your GeoDirectory site, turning a directory into a shared ticket-selling platform.

Custom commission rates

Site administrators can set commission rates and collect a share of every ticket sold by the event owners using the marketplace.

QR code tickets

Buyers receive printable tickets that each carry a unique QR code, giving event staff a simple way to verify entry at the door.

Ticket redemption at entry

Event owners scan and redeem tickets as attendees arrive, which prevents a ticket from being reused and helps control who gets into the event.

Per-date recurring event tickets

For recurring events, pricing and ticket stock can be set for each individual date, and stock is tracked separately per date.

Sales reports and analytics

Event owners and site administrators both get access to sales reports and analytics for tracking ticket sales across their events.

Questions about GeoDirectory Events Tickets Marketplace

Does this plugin need GeoDirectory to work?

Yes. It is an extension for GeoDirectory and is built to add ticketing to an event directory created with it. You will need GeoDirectory running on your WordPress site before using the ticket marketplace features.

Can I earn money from other organizers selling tickets on my site?

Yes. As the site administrator you can set commission rates and collect a commission on every ticket sold through your marketplace. Multiple event owners can list and sell tickets while you take a share of each sale.
