What it does
Long listings get hard to scan once they grow past a few pages. Directories, product catalogs, recipe collections and archives all share this problem: visitors know roughly what they want but have to scroll or guess at search terms. This add-on gives them an A-Z row of letters above the results. Clicking a letter filters the list to entries that begin with it, and clicking the same letter again or the Any link clears the filter.
The facet reads the first letter from a data source you pick, such as a post attribute or a custom field, so you decide what the alphabet is based on. It runs inside FacetWP, so it can sit alongside checkbox, dropdown, search and range facets for layered filtering. It works with page builders including Elementor, Beaver Builder and Bricks, and developers get hooks and JavaScript events, including options to define a custom alphabet and to strip accents from characters.
