What’s new in FacetWP Time Since 1.7.2
- ImprovedImproved added "UI type" settings with many new display options
What it does
Many sites hold content where age matters. A visitor browsing news, events, recipes or products often wants only recent items, and a plain category filter cannot narrow results that way. This add-on gives FacetWP a time-based facet, so people can choose a window like the past week or the past 30 days and see only matching results. You can also define your own intervals to suit the content you publish.
The facet reads WordPress date fields, including the post date, the modified date and custom fields stored in YYYY-MM-DD format. It follows the timezone set in your WordPress General Settings, so intervals line up with your locale. You configure it inside FacetWP like any other facet, choose from several display options for how it appears, and use it next to checkboxes, sliders and dropdowns. Developers can adjust its behavior with hooks and filters.
Best for
- News and blog sites filtering recent articles
- Online stores highlighting newly added products
- Event, recipe or real estate listing sites

Questions about FacetWP Time Since
Do I need FacetWP for this to work?
Yes. This is an add-on facet type for FacetWP, so it runs inside FacetWP and is set up through its facet settings alongside your other facets.
Can it filter by a custom date field instead of the publish date?
Yes. It works with post dates, modified dates and custom fields, as long as the custom field stores dates in YYYY-MM-DD format.
Can I create my own time ranges?
You can. Besides common options like the past 7 days or the past 30 days, you can define custom intervals that match how your visitors browse your content.
Will it work with my page builder?
It works within Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks and other page builders that integrate with FacetWP, so you can place it in builder layouts that already use FacetWP.
Is FacetWP Time Since free?
The code of FacetWP Time Since is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
