What it does

If you build pages with WPBakery Page Builder and want a clean way to present photos and videos, this addon gives you a dedicated gallery element. You add it to a page with the builder's drag and drop interface, fill it with images or YouTube and Vimeo videos, and adjust the settings without writing code. The grid adapts to different screen sizes and orientations, so the same gallery works on desktops, tablets and phones running iOS or Android.

Each item in the grid can zoom on hover or touch, and clicking it opens the image or video in a lightbox. From the lightbox, visitors can share an image on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. You can also give individual images their own links, opening in the same or a new tab, and write a description for each image. Deep linking lets you point people straight to a specific image that opens in the lightbox. Layouts can be full width or centered.

WordPress sites built with WPBakery Page Builder
Photographers and designers presenting portfolios

Features

Hover and touch zoom

Gallery images zoom smoothly when visitors hover with a mouse or tap on a touch screen, and you can customize how the zoom effect behaves.

Images and videos together

Build grids that mix regular images with YouTube and Vimeo videos, so photo sets and video clips can sit in the same gallery.

Lightbox viewing

Clicking an image or video opens it in a lightbox window, giving visitors a focused view of the content without leaving the page.

Per image links

Assign a unique link to any image and choose whether it opens in the same browser tab or a new one, useful for pointing to related pages.

Social sharing from lightbox

Visitors can share an opened image directly from the lightbox to Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest.

Deep linking to images

Link directly to a specific image in the gallery, and it opens automatically in the lightbox when someone follows that link.

Image descriptions

Write a custom description for each image, giving every item in the gallery its own descriptive text for visitors and search engines.

Full width or centered layout

Choose between a full width gallery or a centered layout so the grid fits the design of the page it sits on.

Questions about Famous Grid Image and Video Gallery - Addon For Visual Composer

Do I need WPBakery Page Builder to use this gallery?

Can I add videos to the gallery as well as photos?

Yes. Along with images, the gallery supports YouTube and Vimeo videos. They sit in the same grid and open in the lightbox when clicked, so you can mix photos and video clips in one gallery.

Will the gallery work on phones and tablets?

The grid is responsive and adapts to different devices, screen sizes and orientations. It is designed to work on iOS and Android, and the zoom effect responds to touch as well as mouse hover.
