What it does
Embedding video on a WordPress site often means juggling different players for different sources, each with its own look. This plugin gives you one player for self-hosted files and for videos from YouTube and Vimeo, so your media looks consistent across pages. You can change the player's appearance with customizable skins to match your site's style, and the responsive layout adjusts the player to desktops, tablets and phones.
Videos are placed with shortcodes, which means you can drop a player into posts, pages or other content areas without editing templates. Playlists let you group related videos together, and playback settings such as autoplay and looping help you fit the player to its purpose, from a background clip to a lesson series. Subtitle and caption support makes videos easier to follow, and Google Analytics integration lets you track how visitors interact with your videos.
