What it does

Many small businesses collect client details and job requests through website forms, then copy that information into their accounting software by hand. That double entry takes time and invites typos. The Gravity Forms FreshBooks Add-On removes that step by sending form data to FreshBooks when a form is submitted. You connect your FreshBooks account through OAuth 2.0 authentication, then set up feeds that tell the add-on what to create and which form fields map to which FreshBooks details.

Feeds cover a wide range of FreshBooks records: clients, invoices, estimates, recurring invoices, expenses, other income, credit notes, projects, time entries and items. Project, time entry and expense feeds can be assigned to a client. Invoices and estimates can be sent by email, and a payment can be recorded once a Gravity Forms payment completes. You can connect several forms, which suits businesses offering different services that all bill through one FreshBooks account.

Best for

  • Freelancers who bill clients through FreshBooks
  • Agencies collecting project requests through Gravity Forms
  • Small businesses wanting form entries to reach their accounting

Questions about Gravity Forms FreshBooks Add-On

What can this add-on create in FreshBooks?

Feeds can create clients, invoices, estimates, recurring invoices, expenses, other income, credit notes, projects, time entries and items from Gravity Forms submissions. You choose which records each form produces and map form fields to the matching FreshBooks details.

Can it send invoices to my customers automatically?

Yes. Invoices and estimates created from a form entry can be sent by email. If the form takes a payment through Gravity Forms, the add-on can also record that payment in FreshBooks once it completes.

How does it connect to my FreshBooks account?
