What’s new in Gravity Forms Geolocation 1.5.3.1

Version 1.5.3.1 Latest
  • FixedFixed an issue where the Street Address input extends past the viewport on mobile devices.
  • FixedFixed a state validation error that occurs when a country-specific Address field has been populated with Gravity Forms 3.0.3+.

What it does

Typing addresses by hand leads to typos, missing details and data that is hard to use later. This add-on uses the Google Maps API to help visitors fill in location information quickly and accurately. They can find their current position with a locator button, pick a spot on a map or start typing an address and choose from suggestions. Addresses can be converted to coordinates and back, so every entry holds location data you can actually work with.

The add-on provides eight dedicated form fields that you add to forms in the familiar Gravity Forms editor. Beyond capturing a single location, it can plot driving or walking routes between two or more points, list step-by-step directions and work out distance and duration. That makes it useful for event registrations, delivery requests and logistics forms. Location data can also be saved to post custom fields and user meta, so you can geotag content and user profiles.

Best for

  • Event sites collecting attendee or venue locations
  • Delivery and courier services quoting by distance
  • Directories that geotag posts or user profiles

Features

Eight geolocation form fields

Add Geocoder, Address autocomplete, Coordinates, Google Map, Locator Button, Directions, Directions Panel and Reset Location fields to capture and display location data.

Address autocomplete

Visitors start typing an address and pick from Google Maps suggestions, which cuts down on typing and reduces errors in address fields.

Address and coordinate conversion

Convert a typed address into geographic coordinates, or turn coordinates back into an address, so submitted locations are geocoded and ready to use.

Multi-location directions

Calculate driving or walking routes between two or more locations, show the route on a map and list step-by-step instructions in a panel field.

Distance and duration calculation

Work out travel distance and estimated time between locations, which can feed into price calculations, scheduling or delivery planning.

Locator button

A button lets visitors find their current position on the map with one click, on both mobile and desktop devices.

Geotagging posts and users

Save location data into WordPress post custom fields and user meta to attach geographic details to content or user profiles.

Location data in entries

Addresses, coordinates, directions, distances and durations are stored in form entries for record keeping and reporting, and a reset button lets users clear location inputs.

Questions about Gravity Forms Geolocation

Do I need Gravity Forms to use this?

Yes. This is an add-on for Gravity Forms, and its eight location fields are added through the Gravity Forms form editor. It extends forms you build there with maps, address autocomplete, directions and distance calculations.

Does it rely on Google Maps?

Yes. The add-on uses the Google Maps API for geolocation, address autocomplete, interactive maps and routing. Features such as the map field, directions and distance calculation all draw on Google Maps to find positions and plan routes.

Can it calculate delivery distance for pricing?

It can calculate travel distance and estimated duration between two or more locations. Those values are stored with the entry and can support price calculations, scheduling or logistics planning based on how far apart the locations are.

Can visitors correct a wrong location?

Yes. A Reset Location button field lets users clear location inputs and the map so they can enter a different address or position. They can also use the locator button to detect their current position again.

Is Gravity Forms Geolocation free?

The code of Gravity Forms Geolocation is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Gravity Forms Geolocation is this?

Version 1.5.3.1, released Sep 17, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Gravity Forms Geolocation?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Gravity Forms Geolocation automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
