What’s new in Gravity Forms Google Analytics 2.4.1
- ImprovedAdded the ability to automatically output scripts when using Manual Configuration.
- ImprovedUpdated the add-on to use the new versioning system.
- FixedFixed an unexpected redirect when a user tries to complete the setup without selecting a connection type.
What it does
Gravity Forms handles the forms on many WordPress sites, but by default your analytics account has no record of who submitted what or where people gave up. This add-on closes that gap. It sends form activity to Google Analytics, so newsletter signups, payment forms, survey responses and subscription signups show up as tracked events alongside the rest of your traffic data. You can then compare forms against each other and judge which ones are doing their job.
Setup starts with choosing a connection type: Google Measurement Protocol, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. It works with both Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4. For multi-page forms, it also tracks pagination events, which helps you spot the step where visitors drop off. A manual configuration option can output the needed scripts automatically. It fits sites already running Gravity Forms that want form data inside their existing analytics setup.
Best for
- Sites built on Gravity Forms that use Google Analytics
- Marketers tracking signups and form completions
- Agencies reporting form results to clients
Features
Records newsletter signups, payment completions, subscription signups and survey responses in Google Analytics so you can compare how each form performs.
Logs movement through multi-page forms, letting you see which page visitors reach before leaving and where the form may need trimming.
Connect through Google Measurement Protocol, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, depending on how your current analytics setup is built.
Works with both Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4 properties, so form tracking fits whichever version your site uses.
When using manual configuration, the add-on can output the required tracking scripts for you instead of requiring you to add them by hand.
Settings are handled through an interface in the WordPress admin, so you can start tracking form activity without writing code.

Questions about Gravity Forms Google Analytics
Does it work with Google Analytics 4?
Yes. The add-on supports Google Analytics 4 as well as Universal Analytics, so you can send form submissions and pagination events to whichever property type your site uses.
Can I use Google Tag Manager instead of a direct connection?
Yes. You can pick Google Tag Manager as your connection type. The other options are Google Measurement Protocol and a direct Google Analytics connection, so you can match the method you already use.
Will it show where people quit a long form?
It tracks pagination events on multi-page forms. Each page step is recorded in Google Analytics, so you can see which page visitors reached before leaving and decide where the form could be shortened.
Do I need Gravity Forms to use this?
Yes. This is an add-on for Gravity Forms, and it tracks activity on forms built with that plugin. It does not create forms by itself.
Is Gravity Forms Google Analytics free?
The code of Gravity Forms Google Analytics is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Gravity Forms Google Analytics is this?
Version 2.4.1, released Mar 3, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Gravity Forms Google Analytics?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Gravity Forms Google Analytics automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
