What it does

Many people start a form and never finish it. They get distracted, hit a field they are unsure about, or close the tab. Normally everything they typed is lost. This add-on works much like abandoned cart recovery in an online shop: it stores the partial submission as the visitor enters data, so you still have a record of who showed interest and what they told you before they stopped.

The add-on runs inside your existing Gravity Forms setup. You turn partial entries on per form with a toggle in the form settings, then view and manage the saved entries from your WordPress admin. Conditional rules let you decide when a partial entry is worth keeping, such as only when an email address has been provided. Looking at where entries stop can also show which forms or fields cause visitors to give up.

Best for

  • Lead generation sites built on Gravity Forms
  • Service businesses using long quote or inquiry forms
  • Online stores wanting to follow up on abandoned forms

Features

Saves data as it is entered

Form data is captured while the visitor types, so the information is kept even if the form is abandoned before submission.

Entries in your WordPress admin

Partial entries appear in your WordPress admin area, where you can view and manage them and pick out the ones you want to follow up on.

Conditional saving rules

Set rules for when a partial entry is saved, for example only after an email address has been entered, so you keep data you can act on.

Drop-off insight

See which forms or specific fields tend to make visitors stop, which helps you decide what to simplify or reword.

Follow up on abandoned forms

Use the saved details to reconnect with prospects who showed interest in your form but did not finish submitting it.

Per-form toggle switch

Partial entries are turned on from the form settings with a simple toggle, so you can enable the feature only on the forms that need it.

Partial entry ID form tag

A form tag gives you the partial entry ID, which you can reference when working with saved incomplete submissions.

Questions about Gravity Forms Partial Entries

Does this work without Gravity Forms?

No. It is an add-on for Gravity Forms and works inside your existing Gravity Forms setup. You manage partial entries alongside your regular forms from the WordPress admin area.

Can I avoid saving entries that have no useful information?

Yes. Conditional rules let you choose when a partial entry is saved. A common example is saving only after the visitor has entered an email address, so the entries you keep give you a way to follow up.

Do I have to turn it on for every form?

No. Partial entries are enabled per form with a toggle switch in the form settings, so you can use the feature on the forms where it matters, such as long inquiry or application forms, and leave it off elsewhere.

Will it help me figure out why people abandon my forms?

It can point you in the right direction. By looking at where partial entries stop, you can see which forms or fields visitors tend to drop off at, then adjust those parts of the form.

Is Gravity Forms Partial Entries free?

The code of Gravity Forms Partial Entries is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Gravity Forms Partial Entries is this?

Version 1.8.2, released Aug 27, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Gravity Forms Partial Entries?
