What it does

Many sites need a simple way to put a short message in front of every visitor, such as a seasonal sale, a coupon code or an upcoming event. This plugin handles that with a bar fixed above your content, so the message stays visible at the top of each page. You pick a ready-made template, adjust the colors and fonts to suit your brand, write your text and add a button that links to your offer. Everything is set up from the WordPress admin.

The template-driven approach makes it practical for recurring campaigns. Templates cover occasions like Black Friday, Valentine's Day and Christmas, along with Flash Sale and Free Shipping designs. A countdown timer can sit inside the bar for deadlines, and an admin live preview lets you check the bar's look before it goes live. You can also let visitors close the bar, which keeps it out of the way for people who have already seen it.

Best for

Online stores running seasonal sales and coupon promotions
Sites announcing events with a countdown deadline
Agencies setting up quick campaign banners for clients

Features

Fixed top bar display

The announcement bar stays fixed at the top of your site, above the page content, so your message remains in view as visitors browse.

Ready-made occasion templates

Choose from templates built for occasions such as Black Friday, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Flash Sale and Free Shipping, then adjust them to fit your campaign.

Custom colors and fonts

Change the bar's colors and fonts to match your brand style or the tone of a specific campaign, without writing any code.

Call-to-action button

Add a button to the bar that links to your offer, sale page or any other destination you want visitors to reach.

Built-in countdown timer

Show a compact countdown inside the bar for sales, events or deadlines, displayed in a single pill alongside your message.

Dismissible notices

Optionally let visitors close the bar with a dismiss button placed at the right edge, so returning readers are not shown the same notice.

Admin live preview

A full-width live preview in the WordPress admin shows how the bar will look while you configure templates, colors and text.

Questions about GT Top Bar Notices

Can I show a countdown timer in the bar?

Yes. The plugin includes a countdown timer you can display inside the announcement bar for sales, events or deadlines. It appears as a compact pill next to your message, so the bar stays tidy while still showing the time remaining.

Will visitors be able to close the announcement bar?

You can choose to allow that. When the dismiss option is turned on, a close button sits at the right edge of the bar. Visitors who close it are not shown the same notice again, while new visitors still see it.

Can I match the bar to my site's branding?

Yes. You can customize the bar's colors and fonts from the WordPress admin, starting from one of the included templates. The live preview in the admin lets you check the result before your visitors see it.

What kinds of messages can I use it for?

It suits any short message: limited-time sales, coupon codes, free shipping notices, holiday promotions or event announcements. Templates cover occasions like Black Friday, Valentine's Day and Christmas, and you can add a call-to-action button linking to your offer.
