What it does
Plenty of ideas are easier to explain with a quick drawing than with paragraphs of text. Polished graphics take time and design skill, though, and many site owners just want a simple diagram or rough concept sketch. This plugin fills that gap by bringing the Excalidraw sketching style into WordPress, so you can draw shapes, add text and arrange visuals that look like they were sketched by hand.
The canvas lets you adjust colors, shapes and text styles to match your branding or project theme, and sketches display on desktop, tablet and mobile screens. Teams can work on drawings together in real time, and finished sketches can be exported in various formats or shared for presentations, reports or social media. It fits uses such as brainstorming, teaching materials, marketing pieces, wireframes and personal projects.
Best for
- Educators creating diagrams for lessons and course materials
- Teams brainstorming and sketching ideas together
- Designers and freelancers sharing quick wireframes with clients
