What it does
Covering an event as it unfolds on a regular WordPress post usually means editing, republishing and hoping readers reload the page. Live Events gives you a dedicated live display instead. New timeline entries, updated statistics and fresh reader comments appear automatically, so your audience stays on the page and sees each update as soon as you post it. It suits breaking news, sports coverage, political elections, product launches, live podcasts and similar real-time coverage.
The plugin comes with over 95 settings for adjusting how the live display looks. You can change colors, fonts and social media icons, and use layout scaling to tune readability on different screen sizes. The design is responsive and retina ready, so it works on desktops, tablets and phones. It also runs on single sites or multisite networks, with the choice of enabling it across the whole network or on selected sites only.
