What it does
Large sites often outgrow a simple dropdown menu. When you have many categories, products or pages, visitors need a clear way to scan what is available. This add-on builds on Max Mega Menu, which turns your standard WordPress menus into mega menus, and gives you extra layout and styling options. You keep working with the menus you already have, then adjust colors, fonts, sub-menu widths and backgrounds for individual items from the settings instead of writing CSS by hand.
The Pro features cover several common navigation needs. You can build vertical mega menus and accordion menus, keep your navigation visible with sticky menus, and show AJAX cart totals for WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads stores. Menus switch to a mobile layout on small screens and respond to both mouse and touch. With the off canvas mobile menu type, sub menus can slide in horizontally as panels. The plugin is built with AA accessibility standards in mind and supports Font Awesome 6 icons for arrows and toggles.
Best for
- WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads stores with many categories
- Content-heavy blogs and magazines with deep menu structures
- Freelancers and agencies building custom navigation for clients
Features
Vertical and accordion menus
Build vertical mega menus and accordion-style menus, useful for sidebars or sites with deep page structures that need tidy, collapsible navigation.
Sticky menus
Keep your navigation bar fixed at the top of the screen as visitors scroll, so the menu stays within reach on long pages.
Per-item styling
Set custom colors, fonts, backgrounds and sub-menu widths for individual menu items, letting you highlight specific links without writing any CSS.
Store cart totals
Display real-time AJAX cart totals in the menu for WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads shops, so shoppers can see their cart at a glance.
Mobile and touch support
Menus change into a mobile menu on smaller screens and work with both mouse and touch input across desktops, tablets and phones.
Sliding off canvas panels
When the mobile menu type is set to off canvas, sub menus can animate horizontally as sliding panels for a cleaner mobile experience.
Font Awesome 6 icons
Use Font Awesome 6 icons for menu arrows and for the mobile close and toggle icons, alongside the Dashicons and Material Symbols options.
Accessibility focus
The plugin is built to meet AA accessibility standards, helping visitors who rely on keyboards or assistive technology move through your menus.

Questions about Max Mega Menu - Pro Addon
Do I need the free Max Mega Menu plugin as well?
Yes. This is an add-on that extends Max Mega Menu, so the base plugin needs to be active on your site. The Pro add-on then layers on vertical and accordion menus, sticky menus, per-item styling, cart totals and the other extra options.
Can I show a cart total in my menu?
Yes. The plugin can display real-time AJAX cart totals for WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads, so the figure updates as shoppers add items without needing a page reload.
Will my menus work on phones and tablets?
Menus switch to a mobile layout on smaller screens and support both touch and mouse input. If you choose the off canvas mobile menu type, sub menus can slide in horizontally as panels, and you can pick Font Awesome 6 icons for the toggle and close buttons.
Do I need to know CSS to style the menus?
No. Colors, fonts, layouts, sub-menu widths and backgrounds can be set from the plugin settings, including styles for individual menu items, so you can match your site design without editing code.
