What it does
Many sites already use Formidable Forms for contact, quote or registration forms, but those entries often sit apart from the mailing list. This addon closes that gap. You link any Formidable form to your newsletter subscription system, map the form fields to subscriber data fields, and new entries flow into your list as subscribers. That saves you from exporting entries and adding people by hand, and it keeps names and other details attached to each subscriber for more personal emails.
Consent is handled with customizable checkboxes, so visitors choose whether to subscribe instead of being added by default, and configurable subscription messages help with data protection requirements. Sites running WPML or other multilanguage plugins can keep each subscriber tied to their language. From there, the wider Newsletter setup lets you send a welcome email, run autoresponders, manage subscriber profiles, filter spam signups, import or export lists and review reports on growth, engagement and bounces.
Best for
- Sites already collecting entries with Formidable Forms
- Multilingual sites running WPML that send newsletters
- Blogs and businesses growing a GDPR-aware mailing list

Questions about Newsletter Formidable Forms
What do I need to use this addon?
It connects two plugins: Formidable Forms, where you build your forms, and the Newsletter plugin, which stores subscribers and sends your emails. The addon bridges them so form submissions become newsletter subscribers.
Can visitors choose not to subscribe when they fill in a form?
Yes. You can add customizable consent checkboxes, so subscribing is the visitor's choice and not a mandatory part of submitting the form. Configurable subscription messages also help keep your signup process in line with GDPR and similar regulations.
Will form details like names carry over to subscriber profiles?
Yes. Custom field mapping lets you match each form field to a subscriber data field, so the information people enter is saved with their profile and can be used to personalize your newsletters.
Does it work on a multilingual site?
It is compatible with WPML and other multilanguage plugins. Subscriber data keeps each person's language preference, which lets you send messages in the right language to the right audience.
Is Newsletter Formidable Forms free?
The code of Newsletter Formidable Forms is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Newsletter Formidable Forms is this?
Version 1.2.2, released Aug 27, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Newsletter Formidable Forms?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Newsletter Formidable Forms automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
