What it does
Long registration forms and forgotten passwords put people off signing up. Social login gives visitors a shorter path: they pick a provider they already use, approve the connection, and their account is created or matched on your site. Email addresses and usernames from the social account are mapped to your WordPress user database, so new users start with a filled-in profile. The addon works on top of the free Nextend Social Login plugin and extends it with more providers and settings.
The plugin works with WordPress core login and registration, WooCommerce and community plugins such as BuddyPress, so the same sign-in buttons can appear across a store, a member area or a forum. You can adjust the design and placement of the buttons, let users link several social accounts to one profile, and assign a user role at registration. It is compatible with WPML and other translation plugins, and a setup wizard walks you through configuring providers.
