OMGF Pro
OMGF Pro by Daan is a WordPress plugin that downloads the Google Fonts your site uses and hosts them locally. Your pages load fonts from your own server instead of Google's, which removes external font requests and keeps visitor data away from a third party.

What’s new in OMGF Pro 5.3.2
- ImprovedSmart Optimize purges a page from LiteSpeed Cache silently, instead of adding a LiteSpeed Cache Purge url admin notice for every page it analyzed.
- FixedSmart Optimize decided whether a visitor was on mobile by the window's width when storing results, but by user agent when applying them. So tablets wider than 768px and narrow desktop windows analyzed pages on every visit, tablets could get the results meant for phones, and a narrow desktop window could store a page's desktop results as mobile. Results are now stored by user agent too, like most page caches separate mobile and desktop.
- FixedSmart Optimize no longer analyzes WooCommerce's endpoints, e.g. order received pages (/checkout/order-received/<order_id>/) or My Account's orders, and doesn't apply the results of the page they belong to (e.g. the checkout form) to them, because their contents are different.
- FixedSmart Optimize no longer analyzes pages which shouldn't be page cached, i.e. pages defining the DONOTCACHEPAGE constant (e.g. WooCommerce's cart, checkout and account pages), and doesn't apply results to them.
- FixedLocal stylesheets loaded through a URL containing ../ (e.g. Super Speedy Search's stylesheet) couldn't be cached, because their cache path contained ../ as well.
- NewThe omgf_pro_smart_optimize_excluded filter, to exclude pages from Smart Optimize.
- FixedWhen the license server couldn't be reached, requesting OMGF Pro's plugin information caused a fatal error ("Attempt to assign property "plugin" on false"), e.g. in Plugin Report or during Wordfence's update check.
- FixedLicense keys which can't be decrypted (e.g. after migrating a site) no longer cause a PHP warning on every page load, and license keys are no longer written to the license manager's debug log.
What it does
Most WordPress themes and plugins pull Google Fonts straight from Google's servers. That adds external requests to every page view and sends visitor information to a third party, which can be a concern under privacy regulations. This plugin finds those fonts, downloads them and serves the files from your own hosting, so font requests stay on your domain. It works as an add-on to the free OMGF plugin, which needs to be on the site as well.
Beyond moving files, it handles how fonts are delivered. It serves modern formats such as WOFF2, uses loading strategies meant to reduce render-blocking, and offers subsetting so only the characters you need are loaded. A Smart Optimize feature analyzes the pages your site renders and stores results for each page's canonical path, and developers can adjust that path with a filter. It fits sites that already run caching or performance plugins.
Best for
- Site owners who want Google Fonts served from their own server
- Sites in regions with strict privacy regulations
- Developers fine-tuning font delivery on WordPress sites
Features
Downloads the Google Fonts used by your theme and plugins and serves them from your own server, removing requests to Google's font servers.
Applies loading strategies designed to keep fonts from blocking page rendering while your content appears for visitors.
Delivers fonts in efficient modern formats such as WOFF2, so browsers receive smaller files suited to current standards.
Lets you choose to load only the characters your site needs, which reduces the size of each font file sent to visitors.
Avoids third-party font requests, so visitor data is not passed to Google when fonts load, helping with privacy compliance.
Analyzes pages your site actually rendered and stores results by canonical path, skipping 404 pages and ignoring made-up URLs.
Includes the omgf_pro_smart_optimize_path filter, letting developers normalize the path Smart Optimize uses when storing its results.
Provides analytics and reporting on font loading so you can monitor how fonts are delivered and adjust settings further.

Questions about OMGF Pro
Do I need any other plugin for this to work?
Yes. It requires the free OMGF plugin (host-webfonts-local) to be active on your site. OMGF Pro builds on it, adding features like smart loading, subsetting, Smart Optimize and usage reporting.
Will it work with my theme and other plugins?
It is built to pick up Google Fonts loaded by WordPress themes and plugins and host them locally. It is also described as compatible with popular caching and performance plugins, so it can sit alongside an existing setup.
How does it help with privacy?
When fonts load from Google's servers, visitor information is sent to a third party. Hosting the font files on your own server removes those requests, which helps sites that need to meet privacy regulations.
Can I reduce the size of the font files?
Yes. Subsetting options let you load only the characters you need, and fonts are delivered in modern formats such as WOFF2. Both reduce how much data visitors download for fonts.
Is OMGF Pro free?
The code of OMGF Pro is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of OMGF Pro is this?
Version 5.3.2, released Oct 14, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update OMGF Pro?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of OMGF Pro automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does OMGF Pro need?
OMGF Pro needs Host Webfonts Local installed and active.
