What it does
Default WordPress search often returns results in an order that has little to do with what the visitor typed. This plugin builds its own full-text index of your pages, posts and custom post types, then uses that index to rank results by how well they match the search terms. Fuzzy matching helps catch near misses in spelling, and matched keywords are highlighted so people can see why a result appeared.
It runs alongside the free Relevanssi plugin, which it requires, and adds the extra features on top. Sites with large amounts of content benefit most, including those with document libraries such as PDFs stored on AWS S3. You can also weight results with data from other plugins, for example view counts from Post Views Counter, so popular content can rank higher. Settings are customizable to fit how your site is organized.
