What it does
Holiday content often goes up once and then sits there. An Advent calendar gives visitors something new behind a door every day of December, which suits sites that want a reason for people to come back during the season. This plugin handles the date logic for you, so each door opens on its correct day and stays closed until then. You decide what goes behind every door, from a short quiz to a picture, a video or a promotional offer.
Setup happens through a settings interface, with no coding required. You configure the content, style and behavior of the calendar, and you can adjust the layout so it matches your site's branding and holiday look. The calendar is responsive, so it works on phones and desktops. A countdown timer can be shown in the calendar, the plugin is translation ready, and it tracks how visitors interact with the doors so you can see which content gets attention.
Best for
- Online shops running daily holiday promotions
- Blogs and communities wanting festive December content

Questions about SantaPress
What can I put behind each calendar door?
You can place quizzes, images, videos, special offers or personal messages behind the doors. Each door can hold different content, so you can mix formats across the month and keep the calendar varied for returning visitors.
Do I need to know how to code to set up the calendar?
No coding is needed. The plugin uses a settings interface where you configure the content, style and behavior of the calendar, and it offers template selection and auto-layouts to help you arrange the doors.
Can visitors open doors ahead of time?
The daily door reveal opens each door automatically on its correct day. That keeps future surprises hidden until their date, and a countdown timer can be added to show visitors when the next reveal is coming.
Will the calendar work on phones and in other languages?
Yes. The calendar uses a responsive design so it works on devices from smartphones to desktops, and the plugin is translation ready, so you can present the calendar to visitors in multiple languages.
