Latest
- FixedAfter an Undo or Redo the stage kept showing the change you had undone. It follows Undo and Redo now.
- FixedEditor: changing the speed and delay fields or the cursor switches showed an error in the browser console and did not refresh the typing preview. It updates at once now.
- FixedEditor: opening the Slide Settings of another slide while a Typewriter layer was selected showed an error in the browser console. It opens cleanly now.
What it does
Static slider text can feel flat, especially when a slide carries a single message you want visitors to read in order. This add-on gives that text a typing animation, so a headline or quote appears character by character, much like a typewriter. It works inside the Slider Revolution editor, so you set it up where you already build your slides.
The effect is configured through Slider Revolution's settings panel, with no coding needed. You can adjust typing speed, change the cursor and decide whether the text loops or pauses. It runs alongside other text and image animations in the same slider, which makes it useful for product intros, storytelling slides and informational banners. It requires the Slider Revolution plugin to work.
Best for
- Designers building sliders in Slider Revolution 7
- Sites with headline or quote slides
- Product launch and storytelling banners
Features
Built for Slider Revolution 7
The add-on extends Slider Revolution 7, so typewriter effects are added within the slider workflow you already use, without a separate tool.
Adjustable typing speed
Set how fast the text types out so the pace matches the tone of your message, from a quick headline to a slower, more deliberate line.
Customizable cursor
Choose from a variety of blinking cursor designs and settings to fit the look of your slide and brand.
Loop and pause options
Let the typing repeat in a continuous loop, or add pauses so longer lines stay readable and the message has room to land.
Delay control
Speed and delay fields let you decide when typing starts and how quickly it moves, with the typing preview in the editor reflecting your changes.
Works with other animations
Typewriter text can sit alongside the other text and image animations in Slider Revolution, so you can build layered slide presentations.
Responsive display
The typing effect is designed to display consistently on desktops, smartphones and tablets.
Settings panel setup
Configure the effect from Slider Revolution's own settings panel, with no advanced coding skills required to get a working animation.
Questions about Slider Revolution Typewriter Effect Addon
Do I need Slider Revolution to use this add-on?
Yes. It is an add-on built for Slider Revolution 7 by ThemePunch and needs the Slider Revolution plugin to run. It adds the typewriter effect to text layers inside sliders you create with that plugin.
Can I change how fast the text types?
Yes. You can control the typing speed and delay from the settings panel, and the editor's typing preview updates as you change them, so you can match the pace to your message.
Can the typing animation repeat?
Yes. Loop options let the typing run continuously, and pause options let you hold the text for a moment, which helps with readability on longer lines.
Will it work on phones and tablets?
The add-on is described as responsive and mobile-friendly, so the typewriter effect is intended to display consistently on smartphones and tablets as well as on desktop screens.
