What it does
Running a sports site usually means juggling spreadsheets for results, separate pages for players and a calendar that never quite matches the standings. This plugin pulls that work into WordPress. You enter match results and the league tables update from them, while goals, assists, cards and other statistics are calculated automatically. Player profiles hold stats, biographies and performance history, and team records cover rosters, staff and contact details.
The plugin adapts to different sports, including football, basketball and tennis, by letting you set scoring systems, player positions and event types. You can run several competitions at once, such as a league alongside a cup, each with its own fixtures and standings. Shortcodes and widgets let you place tables, calendars and results anywhere on the site, and the output works with your existing WordPress theme and displays on desktops and phones.

Questions about SportsPress Pro
Can I use this plugin for a sport other than football?
Yes. You can customize scoring systems, player positions and event types, so the plugin can be set up for football, basketball, tennis or other sports with their own rules and stat categories.
Do league tables update on their own?
They do. Once you enter match results, the plugin creates and updates the standings automatically, and statistics such as goals, assists and cards are calculated for you as well.
Can I run a league and a cup competition at the same time?
Yes. SportsPress Pro supports multiple competitions simultaneously, and each tournament or cup keeps its own fixtures and standings, so a league season and a knockout cup can run side by side.
Will it work with my current WordPress theme?
The plugin is designed to blend with your site's existing theme for a consistent look, and its output is responsive, so tables, profiles and calendars display properly on desktops and smartphones.
Is SportsPress Pro free?
The code of SportsPress Pro is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of SportsPress Pro is this?
Version 2.7.31, released Jul 14, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update SportsPress Pro?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of SportsPress Pro automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
