What it does
If your site runs on UsersWP, members already have profiles, but they have no way to link up with one another. This add-on fills that gap with a friend system that works much like the one people know from Facebook. A member visits another profile, clicks Add Friend, and the other person can accept or reject the request. Once connected, the same button switches to Unfriend, so removing someone takes one click.
Everything lives on the profile itself. A dedicated Friends tab holds three subtabs: current friends, pending requests waiting for a reply, and sent requests still awaiting approval. If you also use the UsersWP Notifications add-on, members get on-site alerts about new requests and responses. The plugin is fully translatable, and developers can use a filter hook to adjust the Friend and Unfriend button. It requires the UsersWP plugin.

Does this work without UsersWP?
No. This is an add-on for the UsersWP plugin and relies on its user profiles. You need UsersWP running on your site, and the friend features then appear on the profiles it creates.
Where do members manage their friends?
