What it does
Open registration on a community, forum or membership site tends to attract spam accounts and people you would rather keep out. This add-on adds a review step to the UsersWP registration process. When a visitor signs up, their account waits for an administrator to check it. Until it is approved, the user cannot log in, so pending or unwanted accounts never reach the parts of your site meant for members.
Moderation is switched on through a "Require admin review" option in your UsersWP registration settings. New users see a notice explaining that their account is awaiting approval, and email alerts keep both admins and users informed at the main steps of the process. Pending accounts show up in a moderation column on the WordPress Users page, where you can approve or reject them. The add-on requires UsersWP and is translation ready.
