What it does
Community and membership sites feel quieter than they are when visitors can't tell who else is around. This add-on fixes that by displaying the members who are logged in and active right now. It works on top of the UsersWP plugin, which you need in place first, and fits naturally on forums, social networks, membership sites and collaborative workspaces where people want to know who is available to talk to.
Once it is running, you choose where the online list appears. You can drop a widget into any widget-ready area, embed the list in posts or pages with a shortcode, or add it through a Gutenberg block. On user directories and profile pages, a green dot appears beside the username of anyone who is online. You can also adjust the status check interval, which defaults to 15 minutes, so the online status matches how active your community tends to be.
