What it does
Open registration forms tend to attract spam accounts, throwaway email addresses and usernames you would rather not see on your site. This add-on gives you a set of rules that run on signup and stop those accounts from being created. You can block exact usernames or partial matches, refuse spaces in usernames, and turn away addresses from disposable email services using a built-in list of more than 3,000 domains, so you do not have to build that list yourself.
The add-on works with the UsersWP core plugin and adds its controls to your WordPress dashboard. Username and email domain restrictions can be switched on or off independently, so you only use the parts you need. You can add your own blocked domains, and domain rules also cover subdomains. If your site serves a specific group, such as a company or a university, you can allow registrations only from the email domains you list.
