What it does
Media files pile up quickly on a WordPress site, and they take up disk space on your server. This plugin sends new uploads to a cloud storage provider automatically and rewrites the file URLs so visitors receive them from the cloud. You can also deliver those files through a CDN such as Amazon CloudFront. Setup involves entering your cloud access keys, and existing media can be offloaded in the background, with the option to pause and resume.
It also fits setups with more than one server or environment. Development, staging and production sites can share a single media library in the cloud, and load-balanced installs can point every server at the same files, so assets do not go missing on one node. You decide whether to keep local copies or remove them after offloading, and cloud storage versioning can be used to restore earlier or deleted files.
