What it does
Testing a plugin update or a new theme on a live site can break pages your visitors rely on. This plugin gives you a separate copy of your WordPress site where you can experiment first. You clone the site with a single click, work on the staging version, and push themes, plugins and database changes to the live site once you are happy with them. Staging sites can sit in a subdomain, a custom directory or a separate database, and access can be limited by user role.
Beyond staging, the plugin handles full backups of your files and database, run manually or on custom schedules. Backups stay on your own server by default, and you can also send them to Google Drive, Amazon S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, Dropbox, OneDrive or FTP/SFTP. Migration tools move a site to a new domain or server with automatic link replacement, and multisite networks are supported for cloning, pushing and converting to single sites. It works alongside the free WP Staging plugin.
