What it does
Many forms ask for an address or depend on knowing where a lead comes from, yet typed addresses are often incomplete or misspelled. This addon records geographic details with each submission, including zip code, country and full address, and places them right in the form entry. An interactive map in the entry view shows where each submission came from, so you can review the regional spread of your leads or customers without exporting anything.
Setup centers on connecting one map service. You add an API key for Google Places or Mapbox once, and from then on WPForms handles the location collection. Address fields can then suggest matches as visitors type, and they can fill in automatically from the visitor's current device location. Forms are built in the WPForms drag-and-drop builder, so no code is needed, and the addon works with WPForms templates for uses like petitions, vendor forms and medical records.
Best for
- Service businesses that need accurate customer addresses
- Online stores collecting shipping or delivery locations
- Organizations tracking where petition or signup entries come from

Questions about WPForms Geolocation
Which map services does this addon work with?
Address autocomplete runs on Google Places or Mapbox. You pick your preferred service and enter its API details once during setup, and the addon uses that service for address suggestions and location data from then on.
Can visitors have their address filled in automatically?
Yes. Address fields can be prefilled based on the visitor's current device location, and the addon notes that location is captured with the user's consent. Visitors can also type and choose from autocomplete suggestions instead.
Where do I see the location data that gets collected?
Location details appear in each form entry. You get an interactive map showing the submitter's location, plus geographic details such as zip code, country and full address, all viewable from the entry screen.
Do I need WPForms to use this?
Yes. It is an addon for WPForms and is bundled with the WPForms Pro package. You build location-enabled forms in the WPForms drag-and-drop builder, so no coding is required.
Is WPForms Geolocation free?
The code of WPForms Geolocation is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of WPForms Geolocation is this?
Version 2.14.0, released Sep 1, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update WPForms Geolocation?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of WPForms Geolocation automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
