WPForms n8n
WPForms n8n is an addon plugin by WPForms that connects your forms to n8n, the workflow automation tool. When a chosen form event happens, such as a submission or a completed payment, the addon sends the data to an n8n workflow that can act on it in other apps.

What’s new in WPForms n8n 1.3.0
- ImprovedThe minimum WPForms version supported is 2.0.2.
- FixedTesting the connection to a local or self-hosted n8n instance failed even when local delivery was enabled.
- FixedThe padlock toggle for a secure Custom Value in the Field Mapping table could not be clicked.
- FixedThe webhook URL of a self-hosted n8n instance was cleared when the form was saved, preventing submissions from being delivered.
- FixedSuccessful deliveries to n8n were reported as failed and not logged when a connection's Field Mapping included a Custom Value.
- SecurityA Custom Value marked as secure was written to the delivery log in plain text instead of being redacted.
- FixedUndo and Redo in the Form Builder overwrote an existing connection's field mapping with another connection's values, and saving then stored that connection without its mapped data.
What it does
Form entries often need to go somewhere else: a CRM, a mailing list, a team chat or a spreadsheet. Copying that data by hand takes time and invites mistakes. This addon passes WPForms data to n8n automatically, so each submission can start a workflow that runs across the many apps n8n works with. You build the automation logic in n8n and never have to write code on the WordPress side.
Setup happens in the WPForms Form Builder. You create a connection, pick the event that should trigger it, and map individual form fields to the values your n8n workflow expects. Data goes to n8n through a webhook URL, and the addon works with self-hosted or local n8n instances as well. You can add custom values to the field mapping, mark sensitive ones as secure so they are redacted in the delivery log, and test the connection before going live.
Best for
- WPForms users who already run workflows in n8n
- Marketers automating lead follow-ups and CRM updates
- Agencies running self-hosted n8n for client sites

Questions about WPForms n8n
Which form events can start an n8n workflow?
You decide which WPForms event triggers each connection. Examples include a form being submitted and a payment being completed. When that event happens, the mapped form data is sent to your n8n workflow through its webhook URL.
Does it work with a self-hosted n8n instance?
Yes. You can point a connection at the webhook URL of a self-hosted or local n8n instance. Local delivery can be enabled for local setups, and you can test the connection to confirm that submissions will arrive.
Can I keep sensitive values out of the logs?
You can add custom values to the field mapping and mark them as secure using the padlock toggle. Values marked as secure are redacted in the delivery log instead of being stored in plain text.
Do I need to write code to set up automations?
No. You map form fields and choose trigger events in the WPForms Form Builder, then build the workflow steps in n8n's visual editor. That covers tasks like sending follow-up emails, notifying a team or updating a CRM.
Is WPForms n8n free?
The code of WPForms n8n is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of WPForms n8n is this?
Version 1.3.0, released Sep 15, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update WPForms n8n?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of WPForms n8n automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
