What’s new in WPForms Save and Resume 1.15.0

Version 1.15.0 · Aug 18, 2026 Latest
  • NewSupport for the Ranking field.

What it does

Long forms ask a lot of people. A job application, a detailed survey or a multi-stage registration can take more time than a visitor has in one sitting, and if they close the tab, their answers are gone. This addon gives them a way out: a link next to the Submit button that saves their progress so they can return within 30 days and pick up where they stopped.

It works inside the familiar WPForms drag and drop builder, and you turn it on per form. Visitors can copy a unique resume link or have it emailed to them, then reopen the form on another device if they like. You can edit the disclaimer, confirmation message and notification email. Passwords and payment details are never saved, and partial entries show up in your WordPress dashboard where you can view, edit or delete them.

Best for

  • Sites collecting job applications or detailed registrations
  • Researchers and businesses running long surveys or polls
  • WPForms users building multi-step forms

Features

Save and continue later

Visitors save their progress with one click and can come back within 30 days to complete the form without re-entering their answers.

Copy or email the link

After saving, users can copy a unique resume link or have it sent to their email address, whichever suits them.

Resume on any device

A saved form can be reopened on a desktop, tablet or phone, so people can start on one device and finish on another.

Per form setup

Turn the save feature on for any WPForms form, and the resume link appears next to the Submit button.

Custom messages and emails

Edit the disclaimer, the confirmation message and the notification email so the wording matches your site and the purpose of each form.

Sensitive data left out

Passwords and payment details such as credit card information are never stored with a saved entry, which protects user privacy.

Partial entry management

View, edit or delete partially completed entries from your WordPress dashboard, which helps with organizing data and following up.

Ranking field support

Forms that use the WPForms Ranking field can also be saved and resumed, so ranking questions keep their answers.

Questions about WPForms Save and Resume

Do I need WPForms for this to work?

Yes. It is an addon for the WPForms drag and drop form builder, and you enable the save feature on individual WPForms forms. It adds a resume link next to each form's Submit button.

How long do visitors have to come back to a saved form?

Saved progress stays available for 30 days. Within that window, a visitor can open their resume link and continue from where they left off, on the same device or a different one.

Will it save credit card numbers or passwords?

No. Sensitive information such as passwords and payment details is never saved. Visitors will need to fill in those fields when they return to complete and submit the form.

Can I see entries that people started but did not finish?

Yes. Partially completed entries appear in your WordPress dashboard, where you can view, edit or delete them. This is handy for keeping data tidy and for following up with people.

Is WPForms Save and Resume free?

The code of WPForms Save and Resume is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
