What it does
Collecting payments on a WordPress site often means setting up a full store or sending buyers to an outside checkout page. This addon gives you a simpler route. You build a form in the WPForms drag and drop builder, connect it to your Square account, and visitors pay by credit card right on the form. Card data goes straight to Square's servers, so your site never handles sensitive card details. Form fields such as buyer email, billing name and address map to Square for easier transaction records.
The addon works alongside the form tools WPForms already provides. Conditional logic lets you control when payment fields appear or when a payment is collected, based on what the visitor enters. Built-in calculations can total product prices, taxes, shipping and discounts before the payment goes through. You can start from templates for order, donation and booking forms, get email alerts when payments arrive, and capture partial entries from forms people abandon. Square's seller fees apply, and WPForms adds no transaction fees of its own.

Do I need WPForms to use this addon?
Yes. This is an addon for the WPForms form builder plugin, and it adds Square payment features to the forms you build there. The PHP cURL extension must also be enabled on your server for the addon to work.
Will my site store customers' credit card details?
No. Payment data is sent directly to Square's secure servers, so sensitive card information is not handled on your site. You still receive mapped details such as buyer email, billing name and address in your Square account.
Are there extra transaction fees?
Square's standard seller fees apply to each payment. WPForms does not add any transaction fees of its own on top of what Square charges.
Can the form calculate totals like tax and shipping?
Yes. Built-in calculations can add up product prices, taxes, shipping costs and discounts inside the form, so the visitor sees the total before the payment is processed through Square.
