What it does

BuddyPress gives WordPress the core pieces of a community, but its default profiles and feeds are fairly plain. This plugin layers a redesigned interface on top, with personalized member profiles, activity streams that show updates and shared content, and social tools such as followers, friend requests, badges and achievements. The result is a member area that looks and behaves more like a modern social network, built on the BuddyPress foundation you already use.

Most of the work happens through settings rather than code. You can adjust design, layout, content visibility and which features are turned on so the community matches your brand. Membership controls cover user roles, subscriptions and access levels for tiered or exclusive content, while groups and forums give members dedicated spaces for discussion. Moderation controls, spam protection and user reporting help keep things orderly, and points, ranks and rewards give active members something to work toward. It also works with WooCommerce and Elementor.

Questions about Youzer

Do I need BuddyPress to use this plugin?

Yes. Youzer (Youzify) is built as an extension for BuddyPress-powered sites. It takes the community features BuddyPress provides and adds customizable profiles, redesigned activity feeds, social tools, gamification and moderation controls on top of them.

Can I restrict content to certain members?

Yes. The membership system lets you manage user roles, subscriptions and access levels, so you can create tiered memberships or keep exclusive content limited to the members you choose.

Does it work with WooCommerce and Elementor?

It is compatible with WooCommerce and Elementor, along with other common WordPress plugins. That lets you run your community alongside a store or Elementor-built pages on the same site.

Will the community look good on phones?

The design is responsive and mobile friendly, so profiles, feeds, groups and forums adjust to different screen sizes. Members can browse, post and interact from phones and tablets as well as desktops.

Is Youzer free?

The code of Youzer is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Youzer is this?

Version 3.6.1, released Jan 15, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Youzer?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Youzer automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
