What it does
Job boards fill up with stale posts quickly. A role gets filled or the hiring window closes, yet the listing stays live and candidates keep applying. This add-on gives every job a clear end date. A closing date field appears on the job submission form, so the person posting the job decides when applications stop, and visitors can see that date right on the listing.
Once a deadline is set, the plugin handles the rest. Listings change color and show icons as the deadline gets close or has passed, which helps candidates spot urgent openings. When the date arrives, the job can expire on its own, so nobody has to clean up old posts by hand. Site builders can also order listings by deadline using a shortcode parameter. It works alongside WP Job Manager and its core add-ons, including the job dashboard.

Do I need WP Job Manager to use this?
Yes. This is an add-on for WP Job Manager. It adds a closing date field to that plugin's job submission form and works with its listings, shortcodes and core add-ons.
What happens to a job when its deadline passes?
The listing can expire automatically once the application deadline is reached. Before that, color changes and icons show visitors that the job is close to expiring, and after it passes the listing is marked as expired.
Can I list the jobs with the nearest deadlines first?
Yes. Add the orderby="deadline" parameter to the job listings shortcode and jobs will be sorted by their application deadline, so urgent openings appear at the top.
Who sets the closing date for each job?
