What it does

A standard job board usually sends applicants off to an email address or an outside website, which leaves employers sorting replies in their inbox. This add-on keeps the whole process on your WordPress site. Candidates fill in a form that can collect their name, email, cover letter and resume upload, and every application is saved in your site's database. Employers and administrators can then find all submissions in one spot instead of chasing scattered messages.

Once applications come in, employers can work through them from their job dashboard. They can add private notes, give candidates ratings and sort applications by statuses such as new, interviewed or archived. Site owners can add, edit or remove form fields and adjust notification emails from the backend without writing code. The plugin works with both frontend employer dashboards and the backend admin area, and developers can extend it through its code for custom projects.

Best for

  • Job boards built on WP Job Manager
  • Companies hiring through their own careers page
  • Developers building custom recruitment sites

Features

Application forms on listings

Employer dashboard access

Employers can view and manage the applications for their listings directly inside their job dashboard, on the frontend or in the backend admin.

Private notes and ratings

Employers can leave private comments and rate candidates, keeping hiring feedback organized and visible only to the people reviewing applications.

Questions about WP Job Manager Applications

Can I change which fields appear on the application form?

Yes. The backend form editor lets you add, edit or remove fields, so you can ask for exactly the details you need, such as a cover letter or resume upload. You can also customize the notification emails from the same area without writing code.

Where do employers review the applications they receive?

Applications appear in the employer's job dashboard, where they can be viewed, rated, commented on privately and sorted by status. The plugin supports both frontend employer dashboards and the backend admin dashboard, so it fits sites where employers post jobs themselves and sites where listings are managed internally.

Does it work with the Resume Manager add-on?

Yes. When Resume Manager is in use, logged-in users can select one of their saved resumes on the application form and link to their online resume, which gives employers a fuller picture of each candidate.

Are candidates and employers notified when someone applies?

Yes. The plugin sends automatic email notifications to employers and candidates when an application is submitted. You can edit the content of these emails from the backend to match the tone of your job board.

Is WP Job Manager Applications free?

The code of WP Job Manager Applications is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of WP Job Manager Applications is this?

Version 3.2.0, released Apr 29, 2024. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update WP Job Manager Applications?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of WP Job Manager Applications automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
