What it does
Stores that sell many digital products, such as ebooks, software, music or courses, often ask customers to buy each item one at a time. That works for a small catalog, but it gets tedious for regular buyers. This extension adds an all access option to your Easy Digital Downloads store, so a customer can make one purchase and then get any product covered by the pass. Access is limited to customers whose pass is active, which keeps your files away from people who have not paid.
The extension works inside Easy Digital Downloads and is built to sit alongside the core platform and its extensions, including the Recurring and Commissions integrations. You can set the length, pricing and renewal settings of each pass, and recurring billing can handle repeat payments. Reporting gives you data on how passes are used. Can customers be billed automatically for their pass?
Recurring billing is supported through the Recurring integration. Passes can renew on repeating cycles, and the pass expiration is calculated from that billing schedule, so you do not have to handle renewals by hand.
What happens when a customer's pass is no longer active?
Access to the products covered by the pass is granted only to customers with an active pass. Once a pass is no longer active, those downloads are no longer available to that customer through the pass.
