Payment gateways charge their own transaction fees, and those costs vary from one processor to another. If you sell digital products with Easy Digital Downloads and offer more than one way to pay, you may want customers who choose a more expensive gateway to cover that difference. This extension handles that by attaching a fee to each gateway you configure, so the charge only appears when that payment method is selected.
Fees can be fixed amounts, percentages, or a combination of both, and you can apply rules based on the order total. At checkout, the fee is calculated automatically and shown to the customer before they pay, so there are no surprises. The settings screen groups options by gateway and shows the status of each one.
